TWO POEMS ON BARK

In the blazing hot sun
I play hid and seek with the trees
I lean against them,
Then I feel the bark against my back
its lumpy, its bumpy its rough.
I don't know why, but i stop and look up
It has a face
I feel its soul
A forbidden soul that's trapped
It can never go home

I take one step
I feel the drop of the bark from above
drip drop, drip drop, drip drop.
Suddenly it stops
Its wet, its cold
The bark is lost

There are horrible people in life
They say cruel things
They can be so hurtful
It may seem cool,
making people look like fools
But it hurts more than skin deep
Why do bullies call me ugly?
What is it to beautiful?
Is it the inner or outer,
What really matters?
Many Villeins to the naked eye are beautiful
However a person whose kind,lovely and caring,
may only have inner beauty
They may be sweet
Sweet enough to eat
Yet they get picked on
Called names for many different reasons
Like their size
Or because their lips aren't red enough
Or even that cheeks pale.

it's coming near
As close as can be
snap in the apple tree
It has one light as it comes though the night
What comes goes, as everyone knows
You get closer and closer
Then snap your gone
And the whisper rises again
Until its so loud, it deafens those near
Then it falls
A sad single tear
